Staff Educational PTA Grant Program
The Castle Hills Elementary (CHE) PTA is excited to provide funding for the CHE Staff Education PTA Grant Program based on the monetary results available from our annual PTA fundraiser.
Who may apply for a PTA Grant? Individual teachers, groups of teachers and staff who are all current member of the CHE PTA may apply.
When do I apply? Applications are due on October 6th this year. Applications will be considered by the PTA Grant Committee and awarded to spend in late November. No late applications will be accepted. Grant Committee includes PTA President, School Support Chair, 1 Member of Faculty and 2 nominated Chair or Co-Chair members from the PTA.
How do I apply? In order to apply for grant funds, you must complete the Grant Application. The Application is available on the CHE PTA website by clicking here and selecting PTA Grant Program (you must be logged into the website). Please complete and submit the online application by the Oct. 6 deadline.
How may the funds be used? The goal of the funding is to be used on incremental items or programs that offer creative and innovative approaches to the delivery of curriculum, benefiting as many students as possible.

*These numbers will be reconciled and confirmed based on the results of our annual fundraiser. Keep in mind that the money awarded will be spread across the faculty and grade levels that submit requests.
A few key details:
- Funds awarded must be spent in the current school year, ONLY on the approved item/program what was originally approved in the Grant request. Any remaining funds not spent (because of a discount or overestimating the cost) will roll back into the PTA general fund.
- If there is a large outstanding amount of the Grant budget left over after the initial grants are awarded, a second round of grant requests could be offered. Or a PTA, Board approved, project could also be put on the table and paid for with these remaining funds instead of offering a second Grant submission.
- All Grant requests are reviewed by the Principal for continuity and so that all resources are considered in the approval process. Vendors may be LISD approved or outside vendors. Please check with more than one source to compare costs.

Complete CHE PTA Reimbursement form with the check information made out to pay the vendor. Be sure to note any check deadlines on the form. Inquire with the vendor about tax free purchases. The CHE PTA cannot reimburse sales tax. Forward the form to the School Support Chair for approval.

Complete the CHE PTA Reimbursement form with the check information made out to pay the staff member. All original receipts must be taped to the back of the form. Use the Tax Exempt form when making your purchase. The CHE PTA cannot reimburse sales tax. Forward the form to the School Support Chair for approval.
