Why should I join CHE PTA?
Joining the Castle Hills Elementary PTA is the easiest way to support CHE and education across the nation. The majority of your money, $6.50, stays right here to fund programs for our students, staff and parents. However, your $11 membership also includes state and national PTA dues.
The Texas PTA is committed to helping every child reach his or her potential. Texas PTA offers parent education, programs for the health and well-being of children, programs designed to inspire creativity in the arts and environment, continuing education opportunities for teachers and administrators, and support for individual Local PTAs through training, resources, guidance, programs, materials, answers on managing a small non-profit association, and ideas for success.
Through your membership you can also receive exclusive offers and discounts! Some examples below. Click here to view details at the TX PTA website.
Why should my spouse join PTA as well? Why do we need two PTA memberships?
Being a member of PTA shows your child that you are involved in and care about his/her education. PTA is the largest child advocacy association in the nation. Over 500,000 parents, educators, students and community members join hands across Texas. When both parents and even grandparents join - it increases our number of members and increases our voice in Austin as we lobby for children and education at the state and national level. The actions of legislative bodies can have a profound effect on the education and well-being of children, and Texas PTA serves as the voice for Texas children in many legislative endeavors.
Texas PTA supports legislation that improves health, well-being and educational opportunities for every child. Members of our Texas legislature have stated that without the support of Texas PTA and local PTAs across Texas, HB5 that reduces the number of end-of-year tests that High School students must take and pass to graduate would not have passed. Successful implementation of our legislative positions is characterized by people working together to assure wise legislative decisions through knowledge of the process and an understanding of the issues.
