3.    Can I volunteer for more than one committee?

We certainly encourage involvement and have many volunteers who serve on multiple committees.  If you choose to do so, please be mindful of the workload to which you are committing.

6.    Where and when are the CHE PTA board meetings held?

CHE PTA Board meetings are held monthly in the CHE PTA Room (Room 200) at Castle Hills Elementary. For a complete schedule click here.

7.    Who should attend the board meetings?

All CHE PTA Officers and Voting Board Members should attend. Committee Chairs may attend on an as needed basis.

8.    What happens at the CHE PTA Regular Membership Meetings?

In addition to a review of the general business and financial report, any additional areas requiring a vote by the Regular Membership are presented. Following the business meeting, a CHE PTA sponsored family program is typically presented.

9.  How often does the CHE PTA meet?

10.  Can I volunteer even if I am unable to come to the meetings?

There are numerous ways to volunteer with the CHE PTA even if you are not able to come to the meetings. Voting Board Members are however required to attend board meetings.

11.  What happens to the dues we pay for CHE PTA?

In addition to supporting the mission of the National PTA and Texas PTA, CHE PTA uses these funds to support the programming provided throughout the year.  A summary of some of the programs offered may be found here.  Keep checking back as there is always something new!

12.  How does the CHE PTA raise money at Castle Hills Elementary?

In addition to your membership dues, the CHE PTA conducts fundraising primarily through the Boosterthon Fun Run. Additional details on this fundraiser may be found here.

13.  What does the CHE PTA do with the funds raised?

The funds raised through our membership drives and fundraiser are used to provide numerous development/enrichment programs to teachers and students. In addition, large scale endeavors such as buidling the Playground Shade Structure may be undertaken. A copy of the last Annual Report may be reviewed here.

Yes, this program is open to all Castle Hills Elementary students.
